Act quickly! The application ends April 8.
The Granville P. Meade Scholarship provides financial assistance to students who have achieved academically, but who are financially unable to attend college. The Granville P. Meade fund awards scholarships to worthy and financially disadvantaged Virginia high school
seniors to attend one of Virginia’s public or private colleges or universities. The scholarship is for $2,000 per year for four years, provided the student continues to meet the scholarship requirements.
This scholarship is open to seniors attending a public, private, or homeschool in Virginia. There is no minimum GPA requirement, but this is a competitive scholarship and a typical recipient demonstrates above-average academic performance.
Applicants should review the Student Guide for details and contact scholarships@heav.org for the application. The application deadline is April 8, 2024.

High school senior girls interested in STEAM-H career fields are encouraged to apply for the Virginia Council on Women Essay Contest. One merit-based winner and one need-based winner will be chosen in each of the five regions across Virginia. STEAM-H includes science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics, and healthcare. Homeschooled senior girls are encouraged to apply.
Each applicant must be a female high school senior planning to attend an institution of higher education, be a Virginia resident, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicants will submit a 700–1,000 word essay on their motivation for pursuing a STEAM-H career and their anticipated course of study, trade, and/or profession.

Homeschooled students attending Regent University are eligible to receive a $4,000 scholarship—$1,000 per year for up to four years for all new, on-campus, undergraduate students who were homeschooled and graduated as a homeschool student. The program is available to students studying any major at Regent.
This scholarship is available year-round to students applying to Regent University for the first time. Applicants simply submit an application and transcript.

Homeschoolers in the Tidewater area interested in a STEM career are invited to apply for Tidewater Community College’s STEM Promise Program. TCC will grant up to 20 FULL scholarships (all tuition and fees paid) for two full years of study beginning in the 2024–2025 academic year. Women and minorities are strongly encouraged to apply. Students will graduate from TCC with NO student debt and be ready for a career or to transfer to a university.
Associate programs in engineering, science, computer science, and more are eligible. Applicants must have a high school GPA of 3.5 or higher, be eligible for in-state tuition, and plan to enroll as full-time students. Other requirements, eligible degree programs, and application information are available at STEMpromise.
Applications for the 2024–2025 academic year are due by March 31, 2024.

For homeschooled students headed to Bryan College, the university awards grants of $500 to incoming students who qualify in one of the following categories: homeschooled, family member is an alumni, sibling attends or has attended, family member is a Christian worker or missionary, or has attended any of the following:
TeenPact (onsite only), Bryan College Summer Institute, or Summit Conference (onsite only).
Any additional categories a student may qualify for adds $250 to the grant. These awards are renewable. You can find more information on the Bryan College website at here.

Virginia Western Community College offers its Community College Access Program (CCAP) for qualified students who cannot cover tuition costs through financial aid and can demonstrate financial need. This program is a public/private partnership that pays the cost of tuition for two years at Virginia Western. Homeschooled students are encouraged to apply.
The CCAP 2024 application is open October 1, 2023 through February 1, 2024. Funds are limited and it is encouraged that you apply early.
Informational meetings will be held via Zoom on November 14, December 12, and January 9. Interested students can also visit the Roanoke EnVision Center and speak with a Virginia Western Community College representative about CCAP.

The Better Business Bureau Serving Western Virginia is pleased to offer the 21st Annual BBB Student of Integrity Scholarship Awards, recognizing high school seniors in their 32-county service area. BBB’s scholarships are made possible because of area businesses that understand the importance of supporting tomorrow’s future leaders. Homeschooled seniors are welcome to apply and have won in previous years.
The deadline for the $1,500 BBB Student of Integrity Scholarship Award is January 31, 2024. Recipients will be notified by March 31, 2024.
This scholarship is available to high school seniors who live in the 32-county service area of Western Virginia, as listed on the website.

This scholarship is a one-time $1,000 award open to females entering the fields of engineering or computer science. Applicants must be entering their freshman year of college at an ABET-accredited institution and live in the following locations:

The Community Foundation of the Rappahannock River Region has 46 different scholarship funds for high school seniors who live in Caroline County, Fredericksburg, King George County, Spotsylvania County, and Stafford County. The application process opens December 4, 2023, through February 1, 2024. Homeschool students are encouraged to apply.
While each scholarship has different eligibility requirements, all 46 scholarships can be accessed with one common application. Any additional requirements will be added to the application for specific scholarships. An excellent instructional video on the application process is linked to their website.

Military dependent children who are unmarried and under the age of 23 are eligible for one of 500 scholarship grants of $2,000 for the 2024–2025 school year. There will be at least one recipient selected at every military commissary location that receives applications.
Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time undergraduate program leading to a bachelor’s degree or a community or junior college with direct transfer into a four-year program.
To be eligible, each student must be a dependent of a parent or sponsor that is active duty, reserve, guard, deceased, or retired from the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, or Space Force. High school applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and college applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher. Other requirements are available at FisherHouse.org.
Applications for the 2024–2025 school year must be submitted by February 14, 2024.

Recent high school graduates (January and June 2023) in Chesapeake, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Portsmouth with no college experience are invited to LEAP into college with Tidewater Community College. Homeschool graduates are encouraged to apply.
LEAP is a full-tuition scholarship with book stipends for available 2023 summer sessions. Students can enroll in up to 12 college transfer credits. Students who enroll in 6 or more credits may be eligible for a free laptop.
Students do not need to graduate from high school before the available summer sessions, and seniors currently in dual-enrollment classes through TCC may participate in LEAP.

Eligible students who are the children of a Marine or Navy Corpsman, Chaplain, or Religious Programs Specialist

Eligible students who are the children of a Marine or Navy Corpsman, Chaplain, or Religious Programs Specialist attached to a Marine unit can apply for an annual academic scholarship of $2,500 to $10,000 per year from the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation for any undergraduate or associate degree as well as a non-degree certificate in career or technical education. Each eligible student will receive an award. Homeschooled students are welcome to apply.
Applicants in 2024 must have a cumulative GPA of 2.00 and have an adjusted gross income at or below the financial eligibility threshold of $117,000 for tax year 2022. Full eligibility requirements, including documentation of service, are available here. Homeschooled applicants are welcome to submit a parent-issued transcript and will choose “Home School Clearing House (Any City, US)” as their high school on the application.
Applications for the 2024–2025 academic year are due by March 1, 2024.
